About myself

My name is Markus Stengel. I have been enrolled at University of Tuebingen since October 1999. I am studying Informatics, New Media and Japanology

From 2002 till 2003 I had the chance to attend the Toyohashi University of Technology for one year where I did some research in the field of speech recognition.

Anyway, here are some of my hobbies: I like reading (especially fantasy/SF), writing (my first book is published, the second is in preparation), computer games (why didn't I like them before? ;-)), computer programming (lots and lots of it), sword fencing ... I don't really like the typical chart music; my favourite bands are Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Blackmore's Night and Loreena McKennitt. The rest of my time I spend on my projects and - naturally - cruising the web.
